Ofey

A planned desk companion for Socratic scientific discussion and study design.

Ofey is a planned embodied scientific collaborator: a desk companion that helps researchers discuss observations, refine hypotheses, explore alternatives, formulate predictions, and think through study design.

The prototype is intended to specialize in phylogenetic comparative biology. A companion app would allow researchers to add domain knowledge, including scientific papers, and customize voice and personality. The planned hardware has no camera.

The long-term aim is a configurable platform for other research domains. The immediate work is defining and developing a focused prototype.
